Friday Specials
Here at the Herdic, this time of year comes with a flurry of homecoming weekends, showers, rehearsals and finally holiday parties that keep us busy busy, even as the delicious autumn days turn inexorably into chill November evenings and then pastel winter sunsets that finish in darkness before we even open our doors for dinner service. But, this weekend, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the equinox with a few Friday night specials built from the cusp of the season. Stop in for a taste of the harvest…
– Sage wisdom: with sage and ginger syrup, bourbon, pear and grand marnier
– Creamy cauliflower bisque with sautéed apples and crispy bacon
– Pistachio-crusted fresh Atlantic cod, served over roasted autumn veggies and chanterelles and finished with leek and tarragon butter
– Daisy’s warm apple dumplings with our housemade vanilla ice cream
And a heads up for next week, ladies and gents: the Herdic House will be closed on Wednesday, September 27 for a private event so there will be :gasp!: no Blue Plate Special next week! But we’ll be ready for our usual Blue Plate crowd on October 4, when the real autumn vibes have started to kick in…

Amazing Service and Atmosphere
“We had family Christmas gathering and we were able to have the whole house to ourselves. The food was so good, the service was great, and the decorations/ambiance was perfect for Christmas. It’s a beautiful old Victorian house and it was decorated so beautifully. We will definitely be going back here again. Every detail was attended to.”

A Gem!
“Williamsport lacks “big city” fine dining establishments. The Peter Herdic House however, tries to make up for this deficiency, and succeeds on every level. A great chef who uses the “farm to table” philosophy to his advantage, a very good bar and an excellent wine list. Pricey by local standards, but well worth it!”
