A Mushroom by Any Other Name: Friday, October 9 Whether you call them maitakes or one of their lesser known, more regional names—ramsheads, hen of the woods, etc—they’re turning up everywhere now that our autumn rains have started. Come in and get your fix this weekend. before the season up and disappears…

  • Bee Sting: lemon, honey, gin and fresh concord juice from our backyard grape vine
  • Local wild mushroom soup with tarragon and Milky Way Farm cream
  • Pan-fried maitake and sea scallops in a leek and soy reduction
  • Grass-fed local lamb rack chops in a roasted garlic beurre rouge, served over fried farro and grilled ramsheads
  • Pear and almond cake with creme anglaise

The Herdic House is combining forces with Eagle Rock Winery, City Alliance Church and many others to host a block party on West Fourth Street—full of great live music, good food, and dancing in the streets. At the restaurant, we’ll be serving a host of German dishes and beers, and, in the street, we’ll be welcoming City Alliance to our neighborhood and celebrating our great community…
