The colorsutumn begins with a celebration…
Blue Plate Special: Wednesday, September 23
Beer-battered chile relleno stuffed with three cheeses and served over black beans with an heirloom tomato salsa
Don’t forget that our Blue Plates are first come, first served! But we always have plenty of great options on our lounge and dinner menus…
Harvest Moon Weekend on the patio: Friday and Saturday, September 25&26 Sunday brings the Harvest Moon and a full lunar eclipse, so this weekend we’ll be celebrating the bounty of the season’s harvest. On Friday, we’ll be shucking oysters by firelight on the patio (the first of the season’s oyster harvest to come to the Herdic), and on Saturday, we’ll wrap up the evening with s’mores fixings for young and old (perfect for toasting over the fire!) and plenty of adult harvest beverages…
- Hot mulled cider with local ginger and bourbon
- Harvest vegetable soup with wild chicken of the woods mushroom and autumn herb pesto
- Malpeque and Wellfleet oysters on the half shell, with sage mignonette
- Charbroiled oysters with Beech Grove spinach and Beaver Run bacon
- Grilled Delmonico steak from Misty Mountain Farm, served over rosemary roasted Purple Sun potatoes and local mushroom ragout with black truffle butter
- “Caramel apples”: honeycrisp apples with housemade peanut butter ice cream and dulce de leche
