Lots of local flavor at the Herdic House…
Blue Plate Special: Wednesday, September 23
Channeling a little of the Cuban energy from this evening’s performer at the CAC, Nachito Herrera, our Blue Plate will be Cuban chicken fricassee with black beans and rice…with chicken from Cow-A-Hen Farm, of course. Come heat up with a taste of Cuba, despite the wet autumn weather!
Don’t forget that our Blue Plates are first come, first served. But we always have plenty of great options on our lounge and dinner menus…
Upstairs Dining: Friday and Saturday, October 2&3 As happens time to time, our ground floor is booked both Friday and Saturday nights this weekend for large parties. Of course we’re still accepting reservations! But we’ll be seating in our three upstairs dining rooms. If you’ve never dined upstairs, this is your opportunity! Our features will be determined by what’s fresh and local, but we’ll certainly be serving the first butternut squash soup of the season, sprinkled with candied walnuts, and Liz is making apple pie for dessert… Friday,

Rocktoberfest! The Herdic House is combining forces with Eagle Rock Winery and City Alliance Church to host a block party on West Fourth Street—full of great live music, good food, and dancing in the streets. At the restaurant, we’ll be serving a host of German dishes and beers, and, in the street, we’ll be welcoming City Alliance to our neighborhood and celebrating our great community…
